The Opportunity Overview -This is not a traditional senior associate role. Our client is building something special and this role sits at the center of that effort.
We are hiring an attorney who will both:
Lead sophisticated client work (primary responsibility)
Help scale how the firm delivers exceptional service (secondary responsibility)
You will work closely with the Managing Partner to learn and codify the firm’s approach, then help embed that approach across the team so that excellence is consistent, repeatable, and scalable.
Case Leadership
Manage a docket of high-asset family law matters
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex, high-stakes situations
Drive cases forward with both precision and efficiency
Practice Scaling
Learn and internalize the firm’s approach to case strategy, client communication, and execution
Help translate that approach into clear frameworks, templates, and ways of working
Mentor junior attorneys (1st–3rd year) in real time to accelerate their development
Support onboarding and integration of new hires
Team Enablement
Maintain the top-tier quality and consistency of work across the firm as it grows
Provide guidance, feedback, and support where it matters most
Act as a force multiplier for both the team and leadership

Position Overview:
This position is designed for an attorney who is comfortable generally operating as primary counsel on complex domestic matters, exercising sound judgment, discretion, and strategic insight with minimal oversight.
The attorney in this role will independently manage approximately 8–10 active family law cases from inception through final resolution and may strategically assist on an additional 3–5 matters as co-counsel or in a supporting role. These matters frequently involve high-asset estates, business interests, sophisticated financial issues, and contested custody.
It is a position of trust, ownership, and professional maturity.
Core Responsibilities
Case Leadership
Serve as lead counsel on approximately 8–10 Georgia family law matters, handling all aspects of representation from intake through settlement or trial
Independently develop and execute case strategy, including:
Intake and case management
Pleadings and motions under the Georgia Civil Practice Act
Discovery
Custody, parenting time, child support, and alimony issues u
Preparation for and participation in mediations, evidentiary hearings, and trials in Georgia Superior Courts
Assist as co-counsel or strategic advisor on 3–5 additional cases, as needed
Collaborate seamlessly with firm leadership, associates, paralegals, and external experts (forensic accountants, custody evaluators, guardians ad litem)
Courtroom & Advocacy Excellence
Appear confidently before judges and mediators
Handle contested hearings, temporary hearings, and trials with professionalism and composure
Prepare and present evidence, examine witnesses, and argue motions with minimal supervision
Client Service & Discretion
Provide high-touch, white-glove representation to sophisticated clients
Maintain discretion and professionalism in sensitive, high conflict matters
Guide clients through complex financial and custodial decisions with transparency, clarity and authority
Qualifications
Substantial experience practicing family law in Georgia, including contested divorce and custody litigation
Demonstrated ability to run cases independently, start to finish, with little to no oversight
Deep familiarity with Georgia family law statutes, Superior Court practice, and local rules
Strong legal writing, analytical, and organizational skills
Professional courtroom presence and sound strategic judgment
Member in good standing with the State Bar of Georgia
Compensation & Structure
Competitive base salary + performance-based upside
Flexible in-office expectations (3 – 4 days in office recommended to effectively learn the Managing Partner’s ways of working and mentor junior attorneys)
Approximately 100 billable hours/month, balanced with mentoring and team development responsibilities
