· 1st-3rd year associates; billable hour requirement of 1900 billable + 150 investment time hours.

An international Am Law 100 firm is seeking an associate with 4–6 years of experience to join the Energy Team in our Houston office. Alternate firm office locations may be considered based on business needs and the candidate’s experience. 


 
The ideal candidate will have experience representing and advising clients on power and renewable energy M&A and joint venture transactions, including drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, joint venture and development agreements, and related transaction documents, as well as managing due diligence and closing processes. Strong drafting, organizational, and project management skills are essential. 
 
The firm has a thriving and growing Energy practice, and we are seeking a well rounded, dynamic, and highly motivated associate who is comfortable working on complex matters with multi disciplinary teams across offices and engaging directly with senior attorneys and clients. The successful candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and an exceptional work ethic, along with a genuine interest in contributing to a fast paced, high-performing, and collaborative environment. 
 
To be considered, candidates must hold a J.D. from an ABA approved law school and must be in good standing and an active member of the Texas Bar.

In support of transparency and equity in the workplace, the firm provides salary ranges for all positions. The expected salary range for this position is between $290,000 - $390,000. Actual pay will be determined based on education, experience, internal pay equity at the firm, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
