A national firm is seeking a Paralegal for its Miami office. Position supports 3 Shareholders in these areas of law:

Duties:
Prepare and maintain (or oversee maintenance of) case files, indices and chronologies.
Assemble and organize requested materials for attorney or client review.
Utilize a variety of computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases (such as document review and file management systems), and imaging in discovery and case management.
Assist in document production process, including review for production and/or privilege, tagging and redaction, preparing privilege and redaction logs, and assisting with logistics and coordination utilizing document review tools, and quality control of productions.
Utilize internet file transfer, document security/encryption, and best practices in client data management.
Interact with E-Discovery vendors, vendor management, and quality control.
Draft correspondence, memoranda or pleadings.
Perform investigative and background research, including witness location, and cases/legal authority gathering.
Create and maintain databases of documents and information.
Review and analyze documents, data, and depositions as required by team attorneys and/or clients.
Assist at and in preparation for depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
Coordinate preparation of motions and briefs including proofreading, cite-checking (if applicable), assembly of exhibits, filing and service.
Assist at and with preparation for trial including gathering documents to be used as trial exhibits, preparation of witness binders, deposition designations, review, and organization of materials for use by team attorneys, preparation of electronic presentations, and coordination with litigation support personnel.
Organize workrooms.
Liaise with internal firm departments and outside sources to gather information and data.
Provide proactive management of larger cases, including coordination of support efforts and preparing for upcoming events.
Additional administrative duties as assigned.
Annual billable hours are 1500 (excluding overtime from calculations)
Experience/Education:
5+ years of paralegal or other relevant experience.
Bachelor’s Degree or paralegal certificate required.
Actual salaries will vary depending upon various factors, including relevant experience and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of the firm's total compensation package for employees.
